We’ve got a dramatic and breathtaking transformation to share with you today! The HomeTech team’s latest Before & After is a small home Hayward, CA that needed a complete kitchen and bathroom remodel to achieve the open, updated look and feel the homeowners were hoping for.
After consulting with HomeTech‘s design and build experts to formulate a plan that would both meet the owner’s vision and budget, the team got to work. As you’ll see below, the results are unbelievable!
First up, the kitchen. This galley-style kitchen was closed off, tiny, wallpapered, and just really in need of some love. By starting from scratch and taking the kitchen down to studs, we were able to give the space tons of functionality that suits the homeowner’s needs perfectly.

The homeowners worked side by side with our design team to integrate their own personal style and taste into the building plans, including some gorgeous, on-trend open shelving. Don’t miss that beautiful flooring, which gives the space some really nice texture and dimension.
Thanks to some smart designing, the previously cramped kitchen is now spacious enough for more than just the basics. In addition to the standard kitchen appliances, the new space also has loads of counter space and storage – a must for the most used room in the house.
To fully put this kitchen overhaul in perspective, here are some of the “in process” photos of the construction process. By removing the wall that separated the kitchen and dining areas, the entire space was opened up to create an open feel and seamless flow into the living areas.
Out with the old, and in with the new! What a beautiful and refreshing update. An added bonus to the new layout is allowing that gorgeous vintage fireplace to really stand out.
Now, onto the bathroom remodel. Just like the kitchen, this previously outdated and dark space was also completely gutted to allow for a necessary makeover. The final results are a modern, serene bathroom with loads of style and purpose.

To amplify style in this small bathroom, the design team www.actionac.net/ integrated luxurious elements such as marble countertops and top of the line fixtures. We love that contrast of dark cabinetry and light tile and counters. The added sparkle of the beautiful brass fixtures add to the overall appeal and truly make the space pop.
Despite the small space, the HomeTech team was still able to accommodate all the client’s needs, including a roomy tub/shower combo and some spacious built-in shelving, which draws in even more functionality.
